ServerLINK Transcoding Solution
ServerLINK is a multi-format transcoding solution for facilities that need a methodology to convert video files into playback and streaming formats to meet operational requirements.
ServerLINK is designed and integrated into the Synergy Broadcast workflow to improve production processes and save valuable time
preparing programming for playback and other uses. Using the batch processing capabilities in ServerLINK the Synergy Broadcast Automated Encoding application can transfer recently encoded files to a job folder. A pre-configured template converts the file to the desired format. Files are automatically transferred over the network for automated processing and storage on the playback server or archive location.
A single file can be configured to output in various formats and bit rates as part of the same job process thus speeding up production work and reducing the manpower necessary to prepare content for playback.
ServerLINK will also work with network based NLE production and edit bays where content is created or edited in various formats and needs to be converted for server playback. The operator simply transfers a file over the network via drag ‘n drop to a job folder and the ServerLINK processes the file into the desired formats. ServerLINK converts the file faster than the NLE can output a compliant file thus saving time and man hours.
Supported playback and streaming file formats include MPEG2, DV, HD Windows Media and more.
