K-12 Video Solutions

Synergy Broadcast provides comprehensive, cost-effective video on demand and broadcast systems for K-12 schools that save money and improve the delivery and control of video.  Our K-12 video systems include:

Analog TV's are being replaced by video projectors.  These projectors provide a much larger viewing display and offer teachers greater flexibility as a teaching resource.  Teachers use a browser interface to access the Synergy Video database to search or browse for programming for their classroom.  Video is instantly available for with just a few simple mouse clicks.

Video on Demand is a great way to engage students in classroom discussion and interaction by showing short segments rather than long elements.  Teachers use the video and discussion to improve pace and interest.

For schools that expect to use analog TV's and their closed circuit cable system for several more years we offer a traditional video on demand system for K-12 schools that allows teachers to use their classroom computer and browser to order video content but the video program is delivered over the cable system to the classroom.  This system can be modified to an IP network-based streaming system later.

Centralizing the distribution of video can save schools big money on copyright and license fees as well as equipment.  However, realtime streaming solutions impact network bandwidth and cause everything to move slow.  VideoCourier provides IT with a solution that maximizes bandwidth by using after-hours to deliver video to schools as needed so when teachers access video they use their local area networks rather than district-wide bandwidth.  This protects the integrity of the network and delivers video when and where it is needed.

In addition to Video on Demand Systems for schools our solutions are also capable of providing additional features to convert cable TV for network delivery, digital signage, video broadcasting solutions for ETV and ITV cable television stations as well as live broadcast and streaming of school board meetings.

Schools that have replaced TV's with video projectors need a simple solution to convert the incoming cable channels so they can be viewed on the projector.  To keep the classroom environment simple and free from complex technology Synergy Broadcast solves the problem by converting the inbound cable channels at the headend or source within each school.  This provides schools with much more control.

Single or multi-campus digital signage systems help schools deliver information and emergency alerts.  Information travels at the speed of "life" today so schools and districts must focus on ways to deliver important information quickly and broadly to all staff and students.

Schools districts with Educational television (ETV) or Instructional television (ITV) usually operate on a very small budget and staff.  Synergy Broadcast's video broadcast automation solutions provide a cost-effective and feature-rich solution to help manage educational televsision stations.  Our systems are perfect for single channel operations but also scale up for multi-channel facilities and provide a migration path for future growth.  If your school district does not operate a cable TV station but you want to provide a similar service we can help you establish your own Internet Television Channel devoted to your school districts activities as a way to improve communication and outreach to students, parents, staff and your surrounding community.
