Synergy Broadcast
Systems has been involved with the education market for almost 15
years. We provide state-of-the-art, economically scalable video
systems for Video On Demand,
Educational Television Stations and
Multi-Campus Delivery Systems.
- In 1992 the we installed the
first true, Educational Video On-Demand
system in Lewisville High School, Lewisville, TX offering classroom
teachers the ability to order video programming on-demand from their
classroom using a remote control.
- In 1994 we installed the
first District Wide Video-On-Demand delivery system in the
Miami-Dade
County School System. This system provides video-on-demand to
over 330 schools throughout the District via their ITFS microwave
system.
- In 1995 we installed our
first automated scheduled broadcast system in Ft. Pierce, FL at the
St. Lucie County Office of Education. This system provides the St.
Lucie County School District with a fully automated broadcast system.
The original system was run by one of our tape robots. Several
years ago we added an MPEG2 Digital Server. Both devices provide
24/7/365 automated broadcast services to the county over two cable
channels.
- The
Florida Knowledge Network (Florida Department of Education) uses a
Synergy Broadcast Playback Automation System to broadcast programming
throughout the state of Florida using the Florida Knowledge Network
Satellite System.
-
Bowling Green
State University was the site of our first Hybrid Video On Demand
System. For BGSU we deliver both analog and digital programming
over a fully digital network to classrooms on the main campus and a
remote campus some 50 miles away.
- In 2004 we deployed our first
VideoCourier System at
Portland Public Schools in Portland, OR. This was followed by
a similar deployment at Lee County Schools in Ft. Meyers, FL.
