Synergy Broadcast Systems designs,
manufactures, installs and supports broadcast solutions to meet the

Station Automation Software
The Synergy Broadcast Station Automation Software
is a full-featured,
multi-channel management system designed for the needs of a variety of
broadcasters. This software is
multi-channel ready and provides features normally found in more expensive
solutions. Options include a traffic interface to commercial and
in-house traffic systems, full-featured database to track a variety of
formats and content types, satellite control software for receivers and dish
controllers, automated logo insertion and full automation control of SBS
CG's and some third-party products, as-run and specialty reporting software. Digital Servers
Synergy Broadcast designs and builds Digital Servers for virtually
any budget. Formats include MPEG2,
HD and Multi-format servers that
handle MPEG2, DV and Windows Media and include on-board graphics capability.
Our Servers are built to the individual specifications of each customer and
offer flexibility to expand the number of outputs as well as storage
capacity. Servers are available in both IDE and SCSI Raid. An
optional Production Server is also available for off line storage of raw
footage as well as work in progress packages. Systems are available
for small operators that need a simple solution in a single box to more
complex solutions for larger operations.
Digital Encoders
Synergy Broadcast Digital Encoders can be configured in a variety of formats
and price ranges from budget priced MPEG2 and MPEG4 to 4.2.2 MPEG2 at 50Mbps
to HD at 80Mbps. Our Automation Software also supports automated
encoding as well as automated file transfer to assist with workflow
requirements to save time and manpower. Dual stream encoding for both
MPEG2 and Windows Media is also available.
Transcoding and Workflow
Since not all digital file formats are compatible we can provide a
transcoding solution or work with various third-party products to help you
develop a workflow that is more automated than manual to save you both staff
time and effort. Our software, in conjunction with these other
products provides a seamless workflow process to help you transition
programming from analog or NLE's through transcoding and then direct to the
server or Network Attached Storage in a fully automated fashion.
Logo Insertion and Graphics Solutions
Synergy Broadcast manufactures the BugCrawler
and Informa. BugCrawler is specially suited
for logo insertion, TV Ratings, crawls, scrolls and similar "downstream
activities". Informa can provide the same features but also serve as a
full screen graphics solutions and provide much more complex displays.
Both units are based on the same software platform so one software source
can publish to both units. In addition, both units are tightly
integrated with VLM our broadcast
automation software. This integration provides stations with specific
control over the timing and placement of logos, crawls, scrolls, TV ratings,
"you are watching" and "what's up next" programming alerts, full page
schedule updates and much more. With
VLM you can schedule a specific
project to play at a specific time. No more "switch and scroll" with
your important messages.
IPTV, WebCasting and MediaServers
IPTV solutions are also available as part of our turnkey solution.
These can be purchased with the initial installation or added later. Both WebCasters
for streaming your cable programming and MediaServers for video on demand
applications are available for streaming
video to desktops. These systems can
provide Real-time encoding and capture as well as offer video-on-demand
functionality for uni-cast or multi-cast streaming. Using Synergy's
WebCom Software users access the MediaServer from a browser, navigate a
few simple menu screens and select a video program to be streamed to their
desktop.
Analog Conversion and Archiving
If you are faced with the task of converting thousands of hours of analog
tape content into digital Synergy Broadcast offers an automated solution
based on our robotics technology that can "batch" encode hundreds of tapes
into MPEG2, HD or streaming files.
Digital Archive Units
For facilities that need to archive thousands of hours of content and make
it available for playback or video on demand look no farther than Synergy
Broadcast's DAU or Digital Archive Unit. Both
disk-based and robotics
units are available. Disk based systems are available in a
variety of configurations using 250Gig to 1 TB hard drives. A
robotics
solution is available using AIT Digital Tape. Both solutions are
network-ready, scalable and expandable. With a DAU in a Synergy Broadcast system programs
can be encoded and stored automatically. When stored programming is
needed for playback the Software Automation System will automatically
locate and retrieve the file from the server without operator
intervention.
